For over a quarter century, Chris has been devoted to his true passions in the law – the service of injured families and the advancement of the art and science of trial advocacy on their behalf and on behalf of others. He has been a consistent thought leader on applying cognitive neuroscience techniques to trial advocacy as a trial lawyer and as a frequent instructor to other trial lawyers trial lawyers for most of his 25-year career.
Stombaugh concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical negligence and product liability. A Drake University Law School honors graduate, and graduate and former faculty member at the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming, Stombaugh was, until 2015, a partner at the Keenan Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
A member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice since 1997, Stombaugh served as the organization’s President for the 2014 term. He is also a member of the Iowa Association for Justice as well as the American Association for Justice.
He has been chosen as a Wisconsin Superlawyer every year since 2010 and has a 10/10 Avvo Rating. Stombaugh speaks regularly to state bar and trial lawyer associations nationwide on modern and effective trial advocacy.
Mr. Stombaugh is licensed to practice law in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He is regularly admitted on a case by case basis to jurisdictions across the United States.
