Effective cross examination of a defense medical expert is crucial to achieving great verdicts. Through effective cross examination, defense medical experts can often support the Plaintiff’s theory of the case or, because of extreme bias, lack of credibility or believability in front of the jury. In this workshop, we will focus on (1) establishing confirmation bias (2) finding common ground with the treating physicians and (3) exposing the inherent unreasonable position (i.e., weakness) taken by the experts who are stubborn and difficult to expose their lack of credibility and believability. The workshop will be interactive with mock questioning and medical scenarios.
