My family immigrated to the United States from Lebanon when I was 12 years old. We settled in Chicago where I attended high school. After high school, I immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps. My Marine Corps career spanned 22 years, during which I earned a scholarship to attend college at The Military College of South Carolina, The Citadel, and was commissioned an officer in the Marine Corps. During my Marine Corps career, I commanded a number of infantry units and deployed numerous times. In 2002 I was among five officers selected by the Marine Corps to attend law school. Following law school, I was assigned as senior defense counsel at Camp Pendleton in California .
After retiring from the Marine Corps, I was hired by a criminal defense firm to represent defendants in federal, state and military criminal defense cases. In 2012, I started my own firm and in 2015 began to take on civil cases. I have tried over 80 criminal and civil 80 jury trials. In 2023, I was selected as the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer of the Year and was a finalist for the CAALA trial lawyer of the year. I am a member of ABOTA.
