I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan in the same hospital as my wife (Beaumont) . My family moved to Philadelphia when I was 9 and I spent my formative years there. My parents were totally absentee, in the best ways possible, so I had my run of the city with my friends. We would often skip school to go to Phillies games. In my high school yearbook I was voted most likely to work in a steel mill and left high school to play college football at Kutztown University, a D2 school in PA. That quickly ended and I went to University of Maryland, graduated, and then headed west for law school at USD. I was a public defender for many years and practiced private criminal defense. I was sent on a blind trial date with Nick Rowley and tried my first civil case with him and never looked back. I have been trying civil cases ever since. As often as possible I get out to our home in Montana where my wife and 4 kids ski, shoot, fish, ride quads and do all the other Montana things there are to do.
Clark is a living legend in the trial world, he was the first to discover and teach the power of the “Betrayal Story” that is used by the very best plaintiff trial lawyers in America today to produce the much feared “Nuclear Verdict”. He was personally trained by the fabled trial lawyer Gerry Spence. In his younger years he also studied with such legendary trial attorneys as Race Horse Haynes, Joe Jamail, and Wild Bill Sellers.
